Daniel Mattar usa como base artigos de imprensa que alertam para o aumento da temperatura global e a forma como os ciclos naturais do nosso planeta são afectados por estas alterações.
Toda a acção é desenvolvida numa superfície de 4cm quadrados. Aqui, a tinta e papel são os protagonistas, manipulados, torcidos, conduzidos. Por fim, em total cumplicidade, criam vibrantes ondas de cor, como se fossem pinceladas violentas ou calmos depósitos cromáticos.

Daniel Mattar use press articles that aware us for the raise of global temperatures and for the way our planet’s natural cycles are affected by these changes.
The whole action is developed in a 1,6 square inch surface, in solitude. Here, the ink and paper are the main characters, manipulated, twisted, driven. At last, in full complicity, they create colour waves, as if they were violent brushstrokes or calm chromatic deposits

Essa série tem origem em uma pesquisa feita por Daniel Mattar com pintura a óleo e abstrações gestuais. Ao fim desse processo, os tubos de tinta usados serviram de material para a fotografia, em que rótulos, manchas e escalas ampliadas fazem um retorno à abstração, objetivo inicial da pesquisa.

A research on oil paint and the abstraction of gestures was the start for this series. Soon afterwards, the paint tubes used served as material for the photographs, in which labels, stains and enlarged scales return to the starting point of the photographer’s research: abstraction.
